If you are like me, you have a ton of photos from last year. Now what do you do with them? There is always paper scrapbooking or digital scrapbooking made into a hard copy photo book with printing sites like Blurb, My publisher, Shutterfly and more. I wanted to do something different. No paper at all, completely digital! I looked at the programs on my computer and found Windows Movie Maker and it hit me… a REAL digital scrapbook on DVD! It can work two ways, just using your regular photos or digital scrapbook pages you’ve already made. I’m starting with pre-made pages.

Open Windows Movie Maker and lets begin

Import photos into movie maker

Drag and Drop your photos into the Video section of the timeline. Adding them before or after the current photo to keep them in order.

Now lets really make this digital scrapbook unique but adding your favorite music and some fun photo transitions!

Adding music to your scrapbook can make it spark. If you have two or more music files, you can fade the music together by dragging on onto the other.

Transitions are added to change the pages. You can get creative with the different options Movie Maker gives you.

I uploaded my video to youtube.com. You can watch it embedded below or if that doesn’t work click to My Movie Maker Digital Scrapbook to see what I send to friends and family. As a final step I burned my digital scrapbook movie to DVD to watch on my TV. I used a program that came with my computer called clicktoDVD. It allowed me to add in a nice title page at the start of my DVD. Go Green and make a DVD Digital Scrapbook for your family!
