Ahhh….playing with toy balls.  Who would have thought that such a simple toy could bring such great pleasure?  For your child, balls of all shapes and sizes are a source seemingly unending joy.  For you as a parent, watching your child successfully kick, throw and otherwise play with these toys is one more milestone for you to enjoy in your child’s development.  So, be certain to capture plenty of these playful moments with your camera so you can look back on them as your child grows older and remember just how special these early years really were.

Running with Balls

Before your child masters the act of kicking the ball, he or she will likely do plenty of running around with one.  Even this simple act seems to bring much pleasure to the young child!  In addition, thanks to the bright colors you will find with most toy balls, you can snap a beautiful, vibrant photo with interesting color contrasts when you take a picture of your little one running around with a ball in his or her hands.  The photo below is a good example.

In this photo, the purple-blue color of the ball is a lovely complement to the blue sky and the green trees and grass.  The look of determination on the little girl’s face adds to the charm of this adorable photo.

Balls don’t just come in round shapes, however, and sometimes the bright colors of your background or even of your little one’s hair may contrast nicely with the subdued color of the ball, all of which is beautifully represented in the photo below.

The look on the little girls face coupled with the angle of the photo work together to make you feel as if she is going to throw the ball at you at any second!

You don’t have to see your child’s face in order to get a great shot of him or her running with balls, however, as the photo below goes to prove.

Crashing is Fun!

Of course, there will likely be plenty of times when your little one takes a spill while playing with his or her toy balls.  The expressions on the face of the children in the photo below helps make it even more memorable, as the little boy seems to be amused by his fall while his sister seems to be thinking “there he goes again.”  Once again, the bright contrast of the yellow ball against the green grass adds interest to the photo.

In the next photo, it looks as though the little girl took a swing at the all with her foot, but missed and ended up on her derriere!  The look on her face seems to say “What just happened?” or “I can’t believe that happened to me AGAIN!”

The Action Shot

When it comes to playing with toy balls, there is bound to be a quite a bit of action taking place. In the photo below, the kicking action is successfully captured while also photographing the child from a very interesting angle that helps add to the feeling of movement.

You can also capture the action by pulling back a little and taking a picture of the entire child, such as the photo below in which the movement of the little girl’s feet has been effectively captured.

Bonding with Friends

Another great thing about toy balls is that they give your child an opportunity to interact with other children in ways that many other toys don’t.  After all, balls are more fun to play with when you roll them back and forth with your friends!  The picture below captures the joys of sharing as the two toddlers spend some time getting to know each other while exploring the wonderful world of toy balls.

Of course, sharing is something that has to be agreed upon by both parties.  In the picture below, it looks as if one boy is enjoying the ball while the other turns his back on him in disgust for running off with his toy.

More Than Just Kicking

It won’t take long before your little one realizes that he or she can do so much more with a ball than just run with it or kick it.  Soon, he or she will begin to explore other avenues of ball play as well.  The photo below does an excellent job at capturing the movement of the ball at just the right moment.

Taking on All Obstacles

Once your little one experiences all of the joy that toy balls have to offer, he or she will undoubtedly go through all extremes just to play with it some more.  Make sure to capture these moments on film as well!
