Finally, and I hate this topic, but if you find a group member favoriting pictures of your kids or pictures of kids in certain "scenes", or any general unsavory behaviour. Please let me know and I'll investigate and if needed ban and report the member to flickr. It's unfortunate that these "people" exist in our society but it's part of reality. Please remember to stay vigilante over any suspicious behaviour.

As children who spread both joy and sorrow constantly surround me in my daily work, innocent of their very existence, I realize how meaningful a child’s expression can be to most of us.
A miserable day can be turned into a delightful one, a sad moment into a happy one. A stressful day can be turned into a relaxing one and a tense moment into a relieving one.
All thanks to a few simple words or actions, or just the innocent expressions on the faces of our children. Children are the fuel of life, without them there is no future. A society who does not take care of its children will be left in a state of suffering, a state of social decay, which can only be reversed the moment we start taking care of our future.
For generations, children have been the targets of both good and evil, as they still are today. Since the discovery of the camera they have also been the popular targets of our lenses, unfortunately also for more dubious purposes. With the sudden explosion of the Internet we are witnessing one of the most shocking forms for child abuse caused by that very same instrument that brings so much joy to the Flickr Community.
For most of us the camera is a blessing and for most of us, so are the innocent children we choose to photograph.
So together, let’s strengthen the good reputation of our cameras by showing the world our fabulous CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS, formal or informal, singular or group. That is the nature of this group, where I hope you will all come share a selection of the incredible faces that make up our global village and who will eventually become the future citizens of this wonderful planet so Forsaken by Society
Look forward to this welcoming therapy, after all, it’s gratis so start posting! There are no set limits to how many children you choose to post as long as they are within the category.
Following suggestions arising on one of our threads, I thought it wise to adopt awfulsara’s observations when defining CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS for this group. As you will notice when browsing Sara’s photostream, she is a most competent portrait photographer and therefore I appreciate her suggestions.
Sara says:
Photographs added to the group pool must feature children (obviously) and be recognizable. What does that mean? For example, any image including a face is clearly recognizable, but so is a view from behind. Creative compositions, perspectives, and crops are encouraged, but detail shots of areas other than the face are not, unless they are included as part of a diptych or triptych that also shows identifying features of the little one.
We have now passed an astounding 23.000 members in this group and have more than 275.000 images in the CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS photostream. Hopefully you are all aware of our lovely Blog showcasing some of the images hidden away deep down there in that maze of thumbnails in our pool.
Please bookmark the Blog, UNITED CHILDREN OF THE WORLD and enjoy. There are so many wonderful images to choose from so I shall be adding new photos from our stream for your appraisal and as my time permits.
With such a diversity of photos in this group, many of you become aware of the different social realities of children around the world. Creative Child Photography
A new child photography group for the more creative photographer. If you are bored with the traditional type of photography, and want to create something a bit more exciting, then this is the group for you. A limit of 2 pictures per person, per day, is advised in the group pool. This is generally to allow time for people to see your image, which will hopefully get you a few comments. However, this isn't guaranteed, as anyone who has been with Flickr for a while will tell you. So maybe another way to get comments on your pictures is to start a discussion thread. To do this, just simply select the image from your site that you want a comment on, and choose 'All Sizes'. You can choose between Square, Thumbnail, Small, Medium, and Large. But I think Medium will be best. Copy the HTML coding from the bottom, pop here and select 'Post a new topic', and paste in your code. When commenting on someone's photostream, please comment with this... CCP Group Just cut and paste, and it will look like this. Honestly...Is Your Baby Cute?
What's the most common thing people say about your baby? The answer: "They're so cute!" But do they really mean it..or do they just don't know what else to say? There are alot of groups on here that are for parents to submit pictures of their so-called "cute babies". Some of pictures submitted are adorable, but for every "cute baby" there are about 10 babies who don't have a cute bone in their body. I've decided to start this group because it's about time someone started being honest. Instead of telling someone how cute their child is when they're really not, how about pointing out exactly what people are thinking? That's what I'm here to do. Kids Life

Portraits are ok -- but no posing, and nothing too snap-shotty, please. We are looking for real moments that will create a lovely gallery, and a group that will be a venue for photographers who love to take artistically interesting shots of kids.
As an admin for the stellar group FELT Life, I intend this group to be a sort of FELT Life for pictures of children. (Of course, you should still post them to FELT Life too, please!)
The children in the photos need not be your own, as long as the photos are high quality and capture real moments in childhood. Admins maintain the right to delete anything that is not right for the pool for whatever reason. Please don't take it personally -- just look at the pool to get an idea of what we are striving for, and then submit another.
There is to be absolutely no sexually suggestive or explicit submissions to the pool, please. This seems to go without saying, but you never know. Any inappropriate, or even questionable content will be deleted immediately and posters may be banned, blocked and reported to Flickr.

Pictures of children who get up to no good when left to their own devices. Because, no matter what they've done, we have to snap a picture, sit back, and laugh. (Please, no literal interpretations of the group name; i.e., please don't post pictures of poopy diapers, etc.)
My Baby Photos!
Submit your best baby or child's picture and include a thoughtful description that helps us appreciate the moment. We will pick the three most inspiring photos and showcase them each week on My Baby Photos!. Photos that don't get selected will still be included in the MBP group and viewable from the gallery. Just make sure they are pictures of children from 0-6 years old (sorry, my wife sometimes says I'm one of her 3 boys). Here's how to add your baby pictures to My Baby Photos! group in 3 easy steps: 1. Join the Group. First, join the mybabyphotos group on Flickr.com. If you're not yet a Flickr user, you'll need to first sign up, then return to the group to join. If you're a Yahoo! user you can use your Yahoo! ID. Joining does not require filling out any forms.. All you do is click on the join link and you're a member. 2. Upload your photo. Take a photo of your child and upload it to Flickr. Be sure to make the photo "public", and we also encourage you to include your kids first name, age, and hometown in the photo title. 3. Add your photo to the group. After uploading your photo, it will most likely be in your photostream. Locate the photo in your stream and click on it. Flickr will show the full size image and on top of the image are options such as: "Add Note", "Send to Group", "Add to Set". Click the "Send to Group" button. Precious & Priceless Moments (People only please)
Life is full of precious and priceless moments. This group is for all Flickrites who want to share any photos that capture these moments. Post to the group anything that you would consider: 1. A precious moment or event that is not common (eg. a hug from a child to his/her returning soldier father, a first step of a child, etc). 2. Priceless moments, anything you would consider priceless and unforgettable, pretty much like what the MasterCard advertisements. 3. "Oops" moments.... no nude please. What NOT to post to this groups: 1. Flowers, insects, still life, essentially anything that is non human. 2. Portraits (it has to be a moment in time where it is considered Precious or Priceless). 3. And you know - our kids are very talented in expressing their moods with their faces. Their mimic art is often oscar worth ;)

Alleen foto's van kinderen met een ernstige gezichtsuitdrukking! 1 foto per dag.
We vinden het allemaal geweldig als kinderen glimlachen. Een lachend gezichtje maakt je dag weer goed.
En weet je, kinderen zijn er geweldig goed in om hun stemming op hun gezicht te laten zien. Hun uitdrukking is vaak een Oscar waard. ;-) Maar een ernstig kind heeft een subtielere uitdrukking, die niet onmiddelijk duidelijk is.
Zet dus alleen foto's die bij deze beschijving passen in de groep. Foto's die niet aan de voorwaarden voldoen zullen verwijderd worden. Maak je daar niet te kwaad over.

The overall winner judges the next week's competition. ONLY those five winning images will be posted to the pool. Please do not post any other photos, or Honorable Mentions in the pool. To join in: •Post ONE small version of your image in the thread (see how to below): •It must feature kids, babies or childhood things that are somehow related to the theme. •It doesn’t matter when the image was taken only that it was taken by you. •You may swap out your submission during the week of the theme. The inspiration came from the Theme Competition group. It's been very successful, so we thought we'd try it with Child Photography. The photographer chosen as the ‘photo of the week’ will choose the next photo of the week (they can not submit an image that week). How to add a photo into the discussion: •Start on the photo page of the picture you want to include •Click on “different sizes” (on the bottom right under “Additional Information”) •Click on “small” at top of page •Scroll down to choice #2 “Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:" •Copy all of the information in the box •Paste it in the theme discussion above. Judging Guidelines The overall winner each week gets to judge the following week’s competition. Please choose up to five winning images, naming one, "Best Overall.” You may choose the award titles for the other winning photos. This latitude is given because each theme is so different there is no way set awards would fit each theme. Some examples of general titles; Most Creative, Best Post Production. Best B&W, Best use of lighting, Funniest, Cutest, Best portrait, etc. You can make it specific to that theme; Cutest Fairy, Best Sleeping Angel, etc. But please limit your choices to five winners. Only the winning photos go into the pool, NOT honorable mentions or runner's up, so please be clear with your title names. After you’ve made your winning selections post the announcement at the end of the theme you are judging. List the award title and a link to the image. Please announce the award in the comment section of the chose image with any reasons you wish to share about why it was chosen. Just to clarify make these comments on the photo’s page not in the Theme Competition discussion. You may also give out as many honorable mentions as you like. You can list them all together after the winners or list them as honorable mentions to each of the categories you create. You don’t need to make an announcement on the photos for the honorable mentions. But most importantly, have fun with it!
