Review: Olympus Stylus 1050SW
Recently, Olympus announced a new digital camera model dubbed Stylus 1050SW. Featuring a 10.1-megapixel sensor, the 1050W boasts of rugged featurse that make it a shockproof, waterproof and even freezer proof camera. These features alone more than make up for the Stylus 1050SW as a perfect digital snapper for taking photos of kids. Even better is the fact that it is so easy to use that your kids could even use it to take photos of their siblings, friends or of yourself without you worrying that your kids might accidentally destroy or at least damage it.
Another feature of the Stylus 1050SW that makes it a perfect camera for shooting photos of your kids is its Tap Control functionality. One of the common problem when trying to capture fun moments with your kids is that you’ll never know when it’s going to happen. When you need to adjust some camera settings to make it a perfect setting for capturing your child’s precious moments, you need to go through several steps first. But with the Stylus 1050SW, setting most common menus can be easily done at the mere touch of its top, back or sides.
Tap control and its ruggedizedfeature are just two of features that make the Stylus 1050SW the best camera for taking photos of your kids. There are actually other features such as: In-camera panorama mode which lets you captures three images and stitches them together, shadow adjustment technology, perfect shot preview, perfect fix in-camera editing, TruePic III Image Processor and digital image stabilization for capturing crisp and clear pictures.
The Olympus Stylus 1050SW is slated for October 2008 release and will retail for around $299.99. Not a bad price for a power-packed point-and-shoot.
