Kids photos are typically in the cute or funny variety. Let’s not forget that a child can be quite serious and there is a photo group on flickr called SERIOUS Kids that focuses on just that concept.

Per the description of the photos on their group homepage, “All of us love it when children are smiling. A happy face can brighten up everyones day. :) And you know - our kids are very talented in expressing their moods with their faces. Their mimic art is often oscar worth ;) But a serious kid is one with subtle expressions, not at first seen like the smiling faces….Go one and catch your little ones in their most serious moments.” SERIOUS kids is attracting photos from all over including France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

SERIOUS Kids is administered by a world traveler named Sandra. The group has around 800 members and over 5000 pictures. It has not been particularly active of late but I thought it was worthy to show our readers some of the facinating serious expressions people have contributed. Here are a few I liked that allowed us to share them on the blog:
